Will-Sho Farm
Okay if anyone knows me I am not a fan of Beef ...well I do like a good burger and I make a great burger but put a steak in front of me I will wrinkle my nose. But in all honesty we have found a local , local being King Ferry, New York a promising farm that raises some beef worth eating.
I was doing some research on the internet trying to find an alternative to what we find in the stores for meat. I happened to find this one Will-Sho-Farms I added the link on top of this blog for you to click on and try for your self.
We bought the 20 lb. pack. and was surprised they delivered right to our door being we lived practically down the road. Well my husband seems to think it is because of who he is......ahhh ahhaha...but we will let him think he is special to the world...but in any case the owner of the business brought our meat to our door in a reusable bag. Frozen, so far we hae used the hamburger which was delicious, juicy, tender very little excess....it was beautiful looking fresh...
Next we have eaten two of the steaks...I tried a piece tonight. I figured if I was going to blog about it Id better taste. I have to admit I did doctor the a little with some hot sauce...a little. It was better than expected ...Tender ,juicy, easy to chew and a touch of sweetness you would want in a good steak.
They sell around the area at different venues and also you can get a cooked one the Rogues Harbor in Lansing, and Pumpkin Hill Bistro that is a seasonal place you will find on rte. 90 north on your way to Aurora, New York...I have not eaten there but I hear it is fabulous.
The meat at the farm can be ordered by the whole , half, and quarter. Get a few families together and order a whole and save...average if by the whole is $5.95 pr lb...a steal...You will pay more in the best of stores and your not getting local grown beef.
So if you want meat that you know how it is raised and what it is fed try local...Please I recommend Will-Sho-Farms Finger Lakes Natural Beef...for sure..
